The change of gait analysis on applying metatarsal-bar used 3D motion analysis

چکیده
Introduction Enough dorsiflexion angle of the first metatarsophalangeal joint is needed to ensure thrust and stability [1], and if the range of motion of the first metatarsophalangeal joint decreases, normal foot function during gait is under severe restriction [2]. Wearing shoes with high heels during gait makes weight leaning forward and wearing them for long may cause deformation of hallux valgus [3,4]. General therapeutic concepts of foot diseases focus on reducing or eliminating plantar tissue stress. Recently, studies on treatment to solve these problems have been conducted, but there have been a few studies on orthotic devices such as metatarsal pad, dome and wedge [5]. Therefore, this study applied bar metatars ophalangeal area of normal persons and examined if any change occurs of spatio-temporal indices and kinematic parameters by using 3D motion analysis system.

The effect of foot pressure on applying metatarsal-bar
Introduction Several methods to decrease foot pressure applying foot orthosis wedge or gait strategies by evaluating foot pressure increased abnormally by various foot diseases are under investigation [1]. Recently, studies on foot orthosis, diabetic shoes and old people footwear have been conducted, but there have been a few studies on orthotic devices such as metatarsal pad, dome and wedge [2...
متن کاملFrom Passive Dynamic Walking to Passive Turning of Biped walker
Dynamically stable biped robots mimicking human locomotion have received significant attention over the last few decades. Formerly, the existence of stable periodic gaits for straight walking of passive biped walkers was well known and investigated as the notion of passive dynamic walking. This study is aimed to elaborate this notion in the case of three dimensional (3D) walking and extend it f...
متن کاملEvaluation of Gait Variability in Deafness and Comparing it with Normal-hearing Listeners After a Course of Interventional Proprioceptive Training
Objective: Gait variability index is an important index in the clinical treatment of people with walking problems. Since the variability of gait behavior in deaf people has not been evaluated so far, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the walking variability of deaf people and compare it with normal-hearing listeners. Methods: The statistical population of this study was deaf and hearin...
متن کاملDependency Coefficient in Computerized GALS Examination Utilizing Motion Analysis Techniques
Objectives: The GALS (Gait, Arms, Legs and Spine) examination is a compact version of standard procedures used by rheumatologists to determine musculoskeletal disorders in patients. Computerization of such a clinical procedure is necessary to ensure an objective evaluation. This article presents the first steps in such an approach by outlining a procedure to use motion analysis techniques as a ...
